I love knitted lace - it can be romantic or modern and even manages to be both at the same time. I also love knitting lace - there is such a seductive rhythm. I do not, however, love wearing shawls - hence this sweater, doing its best imitation of a shawl.

I have this coat I got at Goodwill and I just don’t have a single hat to go with it.  This hat solves the problem nicely – it is warm and stylish and the perfect color.  The shape and stitch pattern are a bit unusual but the tweed gives it a classic touch.
